    Campaign Sends Letter to Senate Ag Committee in Advance of Markup

    The Campaign for a Renewed Rural Development sent a letter to Senate leadership addressing the positive and negative aspects of the Senate's version of the Farm Bill in advance of the markup. The coalition is pleased with the policy changes in the bill that will improve the Rural Development Title, but is dissapointed at the lack of mandatory funding for these critical programs.

    Campaign Members Testify at Senate Farm Bill Hearing Focused on Rural Development

    The first Senate Farm Bill hearing focused on Rural Development and Renewable Energy. Several Campaign Members including the National Association of Counties, National Association of Development Organization and Rural Community Assistance Partnership testified in support of a robust rural development title that provides greater flexibility for rural people and places to puruse rural development objectives.
